Heartland
A County Anthology of Creative Writing
One of the first projects to emerge from the County Council Writer in Residence scheme, Heartland is an anthology of poetry, prose and memoir written by fifty three Longford writers which gives a very clear indication of the level of creative writing in Longford. One particularly innovative aspect of this literary project was that it was published in both book and multi-media CD-rom formats thereby delivering an ancient art-form, storytelling, through a 21st century medium.
